Great white Egrets symbolise good fortune, new beginnings & wisdom because they have good judgement & patience. I think they are so graceful & beautiful. This painting was meant to have an abstract background but the beach kept emerging, maybe because I painted it during a particularly lovely & sunny spell in May. I named the birds Grace & Serenity because this is what they bring to mind for me and I think these are such important qualities for getting through life happily, not always easy to cultivate but it’s worth trying!
